Filippo Palizzi (Vasto 1818 - Naples 1899), Abruzzo painter of the Neapolitan school but little academic, impressed heightened realism to his painting. Thanks to exchanges of view with his brother Giuseppe, also a valid painter who lived and worked in France, he got the French influences of the time and found his originality of style and genre.
For biographical notes -in english and italian- and other works by Palizzi see Filippo Palizzi | Figure / Genre / Barbizon landscape painter.
